Come celebrate all things Nature at the 5th Annual Barkhamsted Earth Day Nature Festival. Free and open to all features birdhouse building and walking stick carving for kids plus river insect gathering, talks on Monarch butterflies, crows, pollinator gardens, maple syruping and much, much more.
Author Ben Kilham, who raises orphan cubs and prepares them to go back into the wild, will speak and Christine Critters will bring all sorts of birds of prey, including an eagle and a red-tailed hawk who will demonstrate falconry.
Free food, games and lots to do.

Save the date!
The 2018 Friends of Sessions Woods Annual Meeting will be on Sunday, April 29, beginning at 12:30 p.m. with the infamous Dessert Extravaganza Potluck. At 1:00 p.m., there will be a brief, 10-minute business meeting before the featured presentation. This year's program will be "Live Birds of Prey" presented by wildlife rehabilitators from A Place Called Hope, a facility dedicated to returning wild birds to the wild and teaching people how to protect and respect wildlife. All are welcome and the program is free.
The Sessions Woods Conservation Education Center's Public Program Series is a cooperative venture between the CT DEEP Wildlife Division and the Friends of Sessions Woods. Please pre-register for these programs by calling 860-424-3011 or email laura.rogers-castro@ct.gov. Programs are free. An adult must accompany children. No pets allowed! 

 
Chester - MCoF Art Opening

In partnership with Harvest Moon Design, Montessori Circle of Friends presents the artwork of 22 local children ranging in ages from three to six. These children have been immersed in Asian culture. During our exploration of countries through Asia, the children have been exposed to various artists and techniques.
Please join us for our opening night. The show will be on view from May 4th until June 1st.
Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
Refreshments donated by The Wheatmarket and Adams Hometown Markets
