Enjoy a day at the beach!

The unique spirit of Clinton — a vibrant community that continues to blossom —  makes it an irresistible place to live or visit. Seems there’s always something going on, with activities for the entire family. Indeed, the community calendar is full of events and festivals that attract residents and visitors of all ages throughout the year. And on a day-to day basis, Clinton offers a host of things to do and places to go. Clinton’s town beach offers swimmers, sunbathers, shell collectors, and book lovers catching up on their reading a wonderful spot to relax. Two large recreational complexes offer a wide variety of outdoor activities. The Ethel Peters Recreation Complex — with its baseball, basketball, soccer, field hockey, and football fields, not to mention a skateboard park and playground, and the Indian River Recreation Complex — which is ideal for walkers and hikers, offer a very fine time. The Henry Carter Hull Library, with its many programs for kids and adults, offers much more than books, while the Liberty Green Historic District invites you to walk back in time with stops at Old Brick, now the Clinton Historical Society, and the Stanton Museum. Exploring Clinton’s many marinas affords beautiful views of the water. Go paddleboarding or kayaking in the harbor. Fish in the tidal waters. And  If you need a way to get to any of these wonderful locations or any of our many restaurants and shops, the Clinton Trolley is available from Thursday to Sunday Memorial Day through Labor Day, running from Hammonasset State Park to the Clinton Marina area, downtown, and through Clinton along Route 1 — with all rides free between Memorial Day and Labor Day. The Clinton Premium Outlets are a shoppers’ dream, while The Clinton Art Gallery and Cindy Stevens Fine Art add a brush of inspiration to your adventures. And Clinton has all manner delicious dining spots, from Japanese, Chinese, and Thai...deli delights...white linen cuisine...pub grub...and tempting tacos to the all the local fresh seafood restaurants without which no visit is complete!

It’s our primary mission, now that on-line purchasing and big box stores have made it increasingly difficult for small, locally owned enterprises of all kinds to compete. Indeed, we take pride in declaring that goal on the front page of all our directories with the words Connecting Local Residents with Local Businesses to Better Our Community…Buy Local – Find it Here.

Toward that same end, we are offering newly customized advertising packages created specifically to make appearing in The Shoreline Book even more worthwhile for our advertisers. These packages include:
